North District is a traditional place. It is located in the northwestern part of the New Territories. It has four parts which are Sheung Shui, Fanling, Sha Tau Kok and Ta Kwu Ling. The North District area is about 14,000 hectares and a population is about 300,000. The early settlers in there were farmers mainly. Nowadays many farmland and rural areas are still found in there. So that, tourists can visit there to find the Chinese culture and history of the North District. Actually, there still save lots of well-preserved traditional Chinese buildings. For example, one of famous traditional building is Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall, which was built in the Ming Dynasty. Tourists can also find the beautiful nature view in Long Yuen Wetland. So tourists will enjoy the relax time in there.
